Groomsmen

Samuel Oribamise

Niyi and I have known each other since we were children. We became friends through a friendship that our parents had developed. To my delight, the friendship we inherited from our parents has, over the years, grown to become one that we have both owned and nurtured. I remember having sleepovers as kids, laden with Super Smash Bros tournaments and then going outside to play H.O.R.S.E. I remember going to Lake Geneva Bible Camp, Kids Church, and Youth Group. I remember visiting each other at our respective universities as undergraduates. I remember planning the ACFYA conference with Niyi after college #MuchIsExpected. I remember holding each other accountable in our faith, through Bible studies and check-ins (even over Zoom, during COVID!). I remember Niyi meeting my then girlfriend; I remember Niyi being present when I proposed to her. And I remember Niyi being there for us at our wedding, as my best man. Throughout these years, it is clear that Niyi is a true friend. I pray that our friendship will see even more years, more decades. I pray that we might be able to give our future children (by God’s grace) the same gift we inherited from ours, namely: friendship. May God bless your union with Anita. I pray that your home will be built upon Christ. I love you bro!

Bukky Thompson

Bukky and Niyi have attended the same church since they were boys. They quickly bonded over video games and, to this day share a passion for film and TV. These shared interests have been the gateway to many genuine and fun conversations, ranging from life and faith to Smash Bros and Bash Bros, with a sprinkle of One Piece in between. Wherever Bukky and Niyi go, a fun time is sure to follow

Adefemi Agunbiade

I've known Nino all my life because we are cousins, but I first met him in 2016 during a medical mission organized by his parents in Osi-Ekiti, Nigeria. We shared a room during the mission and bonded a lot over that short period. Fast forward to 2021, when I moved to the US, Nino picked me up from the airport and housed me for a whole year until I got my first apartment. Over the course of that year, we bonded more than I could have ever imagined. Nino is more than family; he is a selfless and compassionate person, as he has shown me and those around me over the years. Nino brings a positive vibe and aura wherever he goes. It has been an incredible experience knowing you, and I look forward to the amazing future ahead for all of us. Cheers to more success! 🥂🍾

Dr. Wes Kloster

Niyi and Wes went to high school together, but it was not until college when their friendship truly started. They met blundering around their freshman year dorm rooms and a friendship was formed over Lord of the Rings, music, video games, but most importantly their shared absurdist humor. They went on to be roommates for the next three years of college - there for each others best and worst. Wes is very excited for Niyi’s next step and promises to not embarrass him too much in front of Anita with roommate stories.

Dr. Oluwatoba Olayinka

My name is Toba, and I've had the privilege of knowing Niyi for a significant part of his life. Even from a young age, it was clear that there was something special about him. His compassion and willingness to care for everyone around him stood out, and it was evident that he had a heart of gold.

Our bond grew stronger when I moved to the US for my medical education. Niyi was my rock, always there for me – whether it was picking me up from the airport, planning trips, or simply being a sounding board for ideas. His love for God and people shone through in every action he took. Niyi is the kind of person you can rely on to get things done, no matter the task.

One of the most remarkable things about Niyi is his deep love and respect for his family. He shares an unbreakable bond with his sisters and parents, always making time to support and care for them. Whether it's celebrating their milestones or achievements, planning family trips, or flexing his culinary skills – which, let's be honest, are limited to frying chicken and cutting watermelon – Niyi's dedication to his family is unwavering. His kindness and generosity extend to everyone around him.

When Niyi told me about his fiancée, Anita, I couldn't have been happier for him. Knowing the kind of person Niyi is, it was no surprise that he cherished her deeply. Their connection is nothing short of magical, a true match made in heaven.

I was so excited when I got the chance to meet Anita. I got to witness firsthand their chemistry during their engagement photo session. Watching them interact was like seeing a perfectly choreographed dance. They were so in tune with each other, sharing smiles, laughter, and little inside jokes that made everyone around them feel the warmth of their bond. Anita's natural ability to lift the mood was evident as she effortlessly encouraged Niyi and brought out his best smiles.

During our car rides, Anita's positive energy was infectious. Her excellent spirit and genuine care for everyone made every moment enjoyable. She constantly checked to ensure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. Anita is also incredibly hardworking and passionate about God, which only adds to her remarkable character.

Watching Niyi and Anita together is a beautiful sight. Their love and respect for each other are evident, and it is truly inspiring. My prayer for them is that their love continues to grow stronger with each passing day and that they remain best friends forever.

Here's to Niyi and Anita, a couple whose love story inspires us all. May your journey together be filled with countless blessings, laughter, and a lifetime of love. Congratulations, and cheers to the happy couple!

Tolu Ajibewa

Hey everyone,

I’m Tolu Ajibewa, one of the groomsmen. I’ve known Niyi since we were kids, and our friendship has grown stronger over the years. We’ve shared countless memories, from playing games and hanging out at each other’s houses to late-night talks and adventures. He’s more like a brother to me than just a friend.

Several years ago, we became even closer; those times are some of my most cherished memories. It’s been incredible to see Niyi find such happiness with Anita. Their love is inspiring, and I’m thrilled to be part of their journey.

Being here to celebrate their special day means the world to me, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Looking forward to sharing this beautiful moment with all of you!

Seun Okanla

I first met Niyi back in 2002 when I moved to the US and joined CCI. We were teenagers and quickly bonded through ACF. We spent countless nights at sleepovers at different friends’ and families' houses, staying up all night playing Super Smash Bros, Mario Bros, Star Fox, Halo, SSX Tricky, TimeSplitters 2, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Job job). We always had plenty of snacks, which made those nights even better.

The ACF community was a huge part of our lives. Some of our best memories were from Easter retreats, staying up all night with the guys, Nigerian weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties, CCI Youth group and weekly Saturday ACF services. After church on various Sundays, a bunch of us ACF boys would gather in Bukky’s room to play games. We also had amazing times celebrating Thanksgiving and July 4th at Bukky's together.

Niyi and I went to Saint Thomas Academy together too. It was great having a familiar face, especially another Nigerian, at school. Over the years, I’ve seen Niyi grow, graduate from college, and take on responsibilities in his parents' organization and our church. It's been incredible to witness God's favor and blessing in his life.

Niyi, I’m so excited for this next chapter in your life. I can't wait to see the beautiful future you and Anita will build together.

Tosin Ayeni

Niyi and I are cousins, but somewhere between 2007 and now, he became my brother. Although I’ve known Niyi for all of his life, we became closer when I moved to the US in 2007, and the Olayinka home became my home. Since then, he has been one of my biggest cheerleaders, and he’s been there with me on some of my most important milestones, including being my best man at my wedding.

Olaniyi, my little brother, it’s been an absolute privilege watching you grow and develop into the wonderful man you are today. Your kindness and generosity have inspired me in so many ways. I wish you and Anita a lifetime of happiness and love.

Femi Toluwalase

My name is Toluwalase Miracle Oluwafemi. I am the 3rd younger brother of Anita Toluwalase and a brother-in-law to Niyi Olayinka.

When I was younger I, my sister Renita, and Sister Anita would play games and sing for hours. My favorite part was when we would sing a song about her finding the perfect man😂. Looking back it’s funny to think that we might have manifested the perfect man for her in Uncle Niyi.

I remember the first time I spoke to Uncle Niyi. His calm aura and graceful tone were hard to miss. Also, his intelligence and his love for music were what connected me to him. When I was younger I used to pray for a good man with a good heart who loved music for sister Anita and I see all these qualities in Uncle Niyi.

I never had any doubts about Uncle Niyi, as a matter of fact, I knew we were going to get along just fine when I found out he also loved Whitney Houston😂.

I’m grateful to God for bringing these two beautiful souls together and I pray that God gives you all the good things life has to offer. May your love stand the test of time ❤
